Forest path through tall green trees

Time off that actually feels like time off. No bars, no inbox, no weird small talk.

Life gets loud. Work piles up. Group chats won't quit. And somehow even a simple airport day turns into a whole thing. So we made The Hideout: a few days to get out of town, be outside, make stuff, and remember what it feels like to have a little room to breathe.

Because creativity, good weather, and being offline for a bit aren't extras. They're must haves.

The Hideout

Our

Manifesto

A CREATIVE CAMP FOR GROWN-UPS

The Hideout

The Name

Why the hideout?

A Little Pocket of Time Off

The whole idea is simple: you step out of your regular life for a bit and into a place that feels a little secret, a little playful, and very much not your usual Tuesday.

Think Narnia. Think Neverland. A little doorway into another world, where time moves slower and nobody's asking you to answer 37 emails.

Like When We Were Kids

When we were kids, a hideout was where you went to disappear for a while in the best way. You could lounge around, be weird, do nothing, build a fort, start a club - whatever. It didn't need to be useful. That was kind of the point.

That's what we're making for adults. A place that's yours for a few days. Cozy, a little secret, and blissfully far from the usual noise.

The Hideout isn't about escaping life - it's about coming back to it.

Our Vision

What we're here to do

We want time off to feel like an actual break - not just "your regular life, but with extra bags." Adults deserve places that are smart, fun, and realistic about what humans can actually handle. The Hideout is that kind of place: easy, a little nostalgic, and very much made for real people.

More Present

You leave feeling more like yourself than when you showed up. Simple as that.

Creatively Refueled

You get back in touch with the part of you that likes making stuff, messing around, and trying things for no good reason.

Like Yourself Again

That very specific moment when you go, "Oh. There I am." Yeah, that's the idea.

What we do

A long weekend, made for actual humans

We make creative camps for grown-ups who need a break - not a "retreat" with homework and a name tag. Each one is a long weekend with shared meals, low-stakes creativity, time outside, and plenty of room for both quiet and very dumb jokes. We're not here to fix you. We're here to give you a few good days away so you can come back feeling alive again.

Time in Nature

Creative Workshops

Phone Break

Trees, fresh air, sunrise light, and a sky full of stars. The outdoors is the setting, not a test.

Painting, writing, making stuff with your hands. No experience needed. No one's grading you.

Some friendly phone boundaries so you can actually put it down. No drama. No guilt.

Playful Activities

Movement & Rest

Really Good Food

Games, bonfires, group challenges, and the occasional chaos spiral. Good fun. Nothing too serious.

Walks, easy hikes, stretching, lake dips, slow mornings, hammocks, and corners for reading or doing absolutely nothing.

Big shared meals at long tables. Tasty, filling, no weird rules. Just food that makes everybody happy.

What we believe
Our Core Beliefs

Good food, goofy fun, and a little fresh air beat another weekend of errands and inbox triage. You don't have to act impressive or pretend you're someone else. Just show up as you are. That's plenty.

Play is not just for kids

It's a perfectly valid way to have a better time. Wild, we know.

1
Laughing is important business

If we're cracking up, we're doing something right.

2
Nature and good design get along

Cozy can still look nice. In fact, it should.

3
Everybody's got something in them

Even if it's been a while since they made a thing. Especially then.

4
Rest isn't something you win

You don't need to earn a nap by being dramatic first.

5
The experience
How it feels

The Hideout is meant to feel like somewhere you'd actually want to hang out - not somewhere you have to show up and act normal. Come join in on everything, or vanish with a book for a while. Paint badly. Laugh too loud. Have a little cry in the woods if that's what the day calls for. Then wander back when you're ready.

easy
Warm
Playful

Clear info, simple plans, no pressure to be "on" the whole time. Move at your own speed.

Good people, kind hosts, and room for both the chatty ones and the quiet ones.

Campfire vibes, silly moments, and absolutely no one taking themselves too seriously.

real
small

No weird pep talks, no forced sharing circles. Just decent people being decent people.

Small groups, so you're a person and not a number on a sign-up sheet. You might even remember everyone's name.

who it's for
is this your place?
This is for you if you...
  • Have a job, freelance gig, care-giving duties, a weird in-between season, or just plain tired

  • Feel a little fried, fried-ish, or like you've been running on default settings

  • Miss being creative, goofy, and mildly inspired by life

  • Want some time in the woods without planning every little thing

  • Like the idea of meeting decent humans - without the awkward networking nonsense

  • Want a few days that leave you feeling better than when you arrived

Probably not your place if you want...
  • A party weekend with zero sleep

  • A silent monk situation

  • A hardcore productivity bootcamp

  • A yoga or meditation retreat

And yeah, it's not for everybody. That's the point. The Hideout is for a very specific kind of tired person who wants a very specific kind of break.

campfire with smores

At The Hideout, you're looking at 3 - 4 days off the grid of regular life, with a small group of kind, easygoing people. You'll stay in a cozy, good-looking place out in nature or close enough to pretend. There's a mix of stuff on the schedule and plenty of do-nothing time. We keep the communication clear before, during, and after. And the price reflects the fact that we care - without turning into a fancy little joke.

2
Play, Create & Rest

A mix of outside time, workshops, meals, and plenty of slack in the day - no need to hustle.

3
Go Home Different

Less stiff. More human. Possibly already planning the next one.

Drop your bag, say hi, and let the weekend start doing its thing.

what to expect
What a Hideout Weekend Looks Like

You'll leave with a few good stories, maybe a couple new friends - and a weekend that gave you more than it took. No one's asking you to be impressive here. Just show up, take a breath, and let the good bits happen.

"We can't fix the world, but we can help you feel better in it."

If you've been wanting a little time away that actually feels nice - not like another item on your endless list - this is probably it. Pack the comfy clothes. Bring your curiosity, your dad jokes, and the version of you that doesn't have it all together. We'll take it from there.

The hideout
time off, done right
your hideout awaits

A grown-up camp for people who need a break and don't want to make a big production out of it.

No cell service. All soul service. More fresh air. Better stories.

Less stiff. More human. Possibly already planning the next one.
